What sets wild stride rehab apart?
At Wild Stride Rehab, we believe in dogs living life to the fullest. They’re our early morning walk partners, trail companions, and everyday adventure buddies. When injury, surgery, or age slows them down, it can feel like a piece of those adventures is missing.
Wild Stride Rehab was created to help dogs regain strength, mobility, and confidence so they can get back to the life they love. Through personalized care, we focus on restoring movement, reducing pain, and rebuilding strength so your pup can safely return to the activities they share with you.
To do this we have a number of tools in our toolbox including hot stone massage, hands-on manual therapy, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy, therapeutic cold laser, trigger point dry needling, therapeutic exercise, and most importantly education so that you can play an active role in your pup’s recovery. Every session is with a licensed, certified Doctor of Physical Therapy so that your dog’s condition is continuously monitored and the treatment plan modified to be the highest quality and most effective care.
Whether your dog is recovering from an injury or surgery, struggling with mobility, or simply slowing down with age, our goal is the same: to help them move comfortably again and continue sharing in all of life’s adventures with the people who love them most.
Meet Dr. Kristen:
Kristen Emond PT, DPT, CCRT
Owner, Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist
Originally from Boston, MA, Dr. Kristen earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. After a couple of years practicing on humans in Baltimore, she was introduced to canine physical therapy when her dog, Naya, needed rehab following an orthopedic surgery. Dr. Kristen realized she could combine her knowledge and experience in physical therapy with her love of dogs to improve their function and quality of life.
In the spring of 2024, she officially became certified as a canine physical therapist, and after 5 years of treating humans, she switched to treating dogs full-time. Dr. Kristen is now excited to call Boise, ID home and help your beloved companions in the Treasure Valley with the start of Wild Stride Rehab.
Outside of work, Dr. Kristen enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities with her 5 year old dog Naya, rock climbing, reading, and attempting to play her guitar.
